Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan
• Rapidly assess and triage patients, prioritizing care in a high-acuity environment
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and monitor patient responses
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the care team
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record clearly
• Participate in patient and family education to support recovery and discharge plans
• Contribute to unit-based quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
• Maintain readiness for emergency procedures and critical care interventions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire, or compact licensure if applicable
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred or obtainable upon hire
• Prior Emergency Department nursing experience preferred, new grads with ED clinical training welcome to apply
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and time-management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) - BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with EMR documentation and accurate charting
• Comfort managing high-acuity patients and rapid clinical changes
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of basic emergency procedures and codes
