Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in the fast-paced ED setting
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients of all ages
• Initiate and manage emergency interventions, including IV access and medication administration
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the care team to create effective treatment plans
• Monitor patient status, interpret vital signs and clinical data, and escalate concerns promptly
• Maintain clear, timely documentation to support continuity of care and legal requirements
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — New Hampshire RN licensure preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) highly recommended
• Comfort and prior experience working in an Emergency Department or high-acuity setting preferred
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency triage and rapid assessment skills
• Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration, and basic emergency procedures
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize tasks under pressure
• Strong patient- and family-centered communication skills
