Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan
• Perform rapid triage, assessment, and prioritization of ED patients to optimize outcomes
• Initiate and maintain advanced nursing interventions and treatments per protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers and multidisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care
• Monitor and document patient status, treatments, and responses accurately in the medical record
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and families during stressful moments
• Participate in departmental quality improvement, safety initiatives and emergency preparedness activities

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing (New Hampshire licensure or ability to obtain)
• Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Emergency Department experience preferred; strong assessment and triage skills
• Ability to work rotating 12.5-hour shifts including nights and weekends
• Excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and teamwork mindset
• Current ACLS/PALS certifications as applicable to patient population

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid assessment in a busy ED environment
• Cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, medication administration and emergency interventions
• Familiarity with emergency protocols and acute care workflows
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation and order entry
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization and multitasking under pressure
• Effective communication with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams
