Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to emergency patients
• Perform rapid assessment, triage, and ongoing monitoring for acuity
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate care
• Document patient care accurately and timely to support continuity
• Respond effectively to emergencies and contribute to resuscitation efforts
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii or eligibility to obtain one
• Minimum ED/ER experience preferred; prior emergency nursing experience a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to work independently, think quickly, and remain calm under pressure

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment skills for rapidly changing patient conditions
• Proficiency in emergency nursing practices: triage, trauma response, and critical care basics
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and document with attention to detail
• Comfort with IV therapy, medication administration, and basic ED procedures
