Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, timely emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize care for patients presenting to the ED
• Administer medications, monitor patient status, and document interventions accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary team to develop care plans
• Perform critical procedures and support resuscitation efforts as needed
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment in a fast-paced setting

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license, Hawaii preferred or eligibility to obtain
• Current BLS certification required, ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous Emergency Department experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to prioritize, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-acuity, team-based environments
• Compliance with facility requirements including health screenings and background checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or diploma in nursing; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• Cardiac monitoring and basic to advanced life support procedures
• Intravenous access, medication administration, and wound care
• Electronic medical record documentation proficiency
• Calm decision-making under pressure and strong situational awareness
• Patient and family education with cultural sensitivity
