Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, and stabilize patients presenting to the Emergency Department with urgency and clinical confidence
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, and advanced monitoring
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and support staff to ensure timely diagnostics and treatment
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions with clarity and empathy
• Document assessments and interventions accurately and promptly to maintain continuity of care
• Act quickly in critical situations, participating in resuscitations and emergency interventions as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Emergency nursing experience preferred; confident in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and triage skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in emergency triage and rapid patient assessment
• Familiarity with ED workflows, telemetry, and emergency equipment
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and wound management
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm during high-stress events
• Comfortable using electronic health records and accurate documentation practices
