Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and provide timely emergency nursing care for patients of all ages
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform focused patient assessments and monitor for changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the interdisciplinary ED team to deliver coordinated care
• Document patient care thoroughly and maintain clear, concise records
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Act quickly and calmly in high-acuity situations to ensure patient safety
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based projects

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (ability to practice in New Hampshire highly preferred)
• Experience or interest in Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to handle fast-paced, high-stress situations with professionalism

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage assessment and prioritization
• Cardiac monitoring and basic ECG interpretation
• IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency procedures
• Critical thinking and rapid decision-making
• Clear, compassionate patient and family communication
• Charting and documentation best practices
