Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care with compassion and clinical excellence
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (Connecticut license preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS are a plus
- Comfortable working 12-hour shift schedules
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient advocacy skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of nursing process, medication administration, and infection control
- Skilled in patient assessment and developing effective care plans
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with care teams
- Time management and prioritization in a 12-hour shift setting
