Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a skilled nursing setting
- Assess patient conditions, document findings, and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and follow-up
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to facility policies
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (able to practice as an RN)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Reliable, professional, and patient-focused approach to care
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with nursing assessment, medication administration, and documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Comfortable working with electronic health records
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family education
- Knowledge of infection control and safety best practices
- Team collaboration and effective handoff communication
