Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized one-to-one care for open-heart, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients
Monitor and titrate critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, and antiarrhythmics
Support patients on advanced therapies such as Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
Interpret telemetry and respond swiftly to cardiac rhythm changes
Collaborate with intensivists and hospitalists available 24/7 for seamless patient management
Float to other inpatient units as needed while maintaining exceptional care standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of CVICU experience with this patient population
Strong telemetry interpretation and drip titration skills
Valid driver's license for radius verification at submittal

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and arrhythmia management
Titration of vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
Care of patients on Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
Open-heart and complex cardiac surgery recovery
Comfort with floating across inpatient units
