Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate radiology imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
- Prepare and position patients with care and clear communication to ensure comfort and safety
- Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain strict adherence to facility policies
- Collaborate with technologists, radiologists, and clinical staff to support patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and properly label and route imaging studies
- Perform routine equipment checks and report any issues to ensure uptime
- Participate in orientation and training to maintain skills and facility standards
Qualifications
- Certification from a recognized radiologic technologist program (ARRT certification preferred or registry-eligible)
- State licensure as required for Missouri practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain it
- Strong patient-centered communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with digital imaging systems and electronic health records
Education
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field (or equivalent certification)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in radiographic positioning and image acquisition
- Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control practices
- Familiarity with PACS and common radiology imaging workflows
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Detail-oriented approach to documentation and image labeling
