Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with care, accuracy, and attention to safety
• Position patients and operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality images
• Ensure patient comfort and explain procedures in a friendly, reassuring manner
• Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain proper shielding practices
• Collaborate with technologists, radiologists, and clinical staff to deliver timely imaging
• Accurately document procedures, patient information, and imaging results in the record
• Maintain and sanitize equipment and exam rooms to departmental standards
• Participate in orientation and training to stay current with department workflows

Qualifications

• Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent certification
• State licensure in Missouri as required for radiologic technologists
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable operating standard radiography equipment and PACS systems
• Strong patient care skills with an emphasis on safety and dignity
• Reliable, punctual, and able to complete assigned shifts professionally
• Willingness to attend orientation and follow facility policies

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited radiography program
• ARRT certification and state licensure as applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in radiographic positioning and exposure technique
• Familiarity with PACS and digital imaging workflows
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and infection control
• Good communication skills for interacting with patients and the care team
• Attention to detail for image quality and accurate documentation
• Ability to adapt in a busy clinical environment and prioritize tasks
