Location: Panama City, Florida

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 10-hour shifts, 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM, including weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Verify and double-check pediatric oral and intravenous solutions with precision
Prepare and dispense sterile medications, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition following USP 797 & 800 guidelines
Develop and execute drug therapy management protocols including pharmacokinetics and antimicrobial stewardship
Supervise pharmacy technicians and verify daily activities to ensure accuracy
Detect and report adverse drug reactions and medication errors promptly
Interpret medication orders and maintain accurate patient medication profiles
Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient medication therapy

Qualifications

Current pharmacist licensure in Florida
PharmD or Bachelor’s degree with recent acute care hospital experience
2 years of experience preferred
BLS and ACLS helpful but not required
NICU/PICU/Peds experience a plus

Education

PharmD or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy

Knowledge & Skills

Strong pharmaceutical calculations and PK dosing experience
TPN calculations expertise
Pyxis system troubleshooting skills
USP 797 & 800 compliance knowledge
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
