Roles & Responsibilities

• Room patients efficiently and prepare exam rooms between visits to keep the clinic running smoothly
• Administer vaccines and assist with vaccine documentation and inventory management
• Perform and document EKGs (training provided) and assist with minor procedures such as skin biopsies, wart removals, sutures, and splinting
• Chart accurately in AEHR and MEDITECH to ensure complete, compliant patient records
• Handle patient phone triage and coordinate follow-ups with providers
• Stock and clean rooms, maintain infection control practices, and support a safe care environment
• Float across primary care departments including pediatrics, family medicine, OB, walk-in, and internal medicine to meet clinic needs
• Collaborate closely with providers, CNAs, and CMAs to deliver high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN license (eligible to submit)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Clinic experience preferred; at least 2 years of relevant experience noted
• Comfortable using AEHR and MEDITECH charting systems
• Able to work varied 8- or 10-hour day shifts and float between departments as needed
• Strong teamwork, time management, and problem-solving skills; self-starter attitude
• Willingness to complete a one-week unit-specific orientation and 12 hours of initial orientation time

Education

• Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse diploma or equivalent required
• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Vaccine administration and safe handling practices
• Rooming patients and preparing exam rooms
• Charting/documentation best practices in AEHR and MEDITECH
• EKG performance and interpretation fundamentals (training provided)
• Assisting with minor procedures (biopsies, circumcisions, sutures, splinting)
• Patient phone triage and professional telephone communication
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and work collaboratively on a busy clinic team
