Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care as a licensed practical nurse
• Administer medications and treatments according to policy and orders
• Monitor and document patient status, reporting changes to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to coordinate care
• Maintain accurate, timely charting in the patient record
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and facility protocols at all times
• Support patients and families with clear communication and empathy

Qualifications

• Current LPN license (must be valid in Georgia or able to obtain Georgia licensure)
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
• Clinical experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a team

Education

• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program
• Current LPN licensure as required by state of practice

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and basic IV/secure line familiarity
• Patient assessment and monitoring for changes in condition
• Charting and documentation in electronic medical records
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Time management and prioritization during 12.5-hour shifts
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
