Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care and daily assessments
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and changes in condition
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
- Support transitions of care and communicate clearly during handoffs
- Maintain accurate charting and compliance with facility policies
- Promote infection control and patient safety in every interaction
Qualifications
- Active LPN license (required) — must be valid in Georgia
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Completion of an accredited LPN training program
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen per facility policy
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset
Education
- Graduation from an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
- Active LPN licensure in Georgia
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental nursing assessments and patient monitoring
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic wound care and infection prevention
- Proficient charting and electronic medical record (EMR) use
- Time management, prioritization, and teamwork
- Clear patient/family communication and education skills
