Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic nursing care and assist residents with activities of daily living
• Support patient mobility and maintain a safe environment to prevent falls and injuries
• Monitor and record vital signs and report notable changes to the care team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of resident care and interventions
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Follow infection control procedures and facility protocols to protect residents and staff
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to stay current with best practices

Qualifications

• Current LNA certification (state-approved) — must be valid for practice
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Comfortable assisting with transfers, ADLs, and basic patient care tasks
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work as part of a collaborative care team
• Willingness to complete facility orientation prior to assignment

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved LNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for resident-centered care
• Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties, ADLs, and safe patient handling
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Documentation skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate changes in condition appropriately
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
