Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care consistent with LPN scope of practice
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policies
• Monitor resident condition, record vital signs, and report changes to the care team
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
• Support admission, discharge, and care-planning processes with clear communication
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
• Engage residents with dignity and respect to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) — Alabama licensure preferred
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required or must obtain promptly
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings preferred
• Ability to work a rotating 12-hour day shift schedule (3 on / 2 off / 2 on / 3 off)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills

Education

• LPN diploma or equivalent practical nursing program completion

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and safe charting practices
• Basic assessment skills and comfortable taking vital signs
• Familiarity with long-term care workflows and resident-centered care
• Good clinical judgment and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
