Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Cedar Ridge Ctr
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Monitor patient status, document changes, and communicate effectively with the care team
• Assess clinical needs and escalate concerns to RNs or providers when appropriate
• Support patient comfort and safety during overnight hours, including fall prevention and delegation
• Participate in shift handoffs and maintain clear, timely documentation

Qualifications

• Valid LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) credential — active or eligible for licensure in Maine
• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Demonstrated clinical experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic assessment skills and recognizing changes in patient condition
• Infection control and safe clinical practice
• Understanding of long-term care workflows and resident-centered care
• Competence with electronic charting and shift reporting
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with residents, families, and staff
