Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to residents in a skilled nursing setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document appropriately
- Monitor vital signs, report changes, and collaborate with the care team
- Assist with activities of daily living while promoting resident dignity
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff
- Participate in care planning and ensure documentation meets facility standards
Qualifications
- Valid LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in Pennsylvania required
- Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or obtain upon hire per facility policy)
- Comfortable with medication administration, wound care basics, and vital sign monitoring
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
- Ability to pass facility background check and drug screening as required
Education
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of nursing practice in skilled nursing/long-term care
- Medication administration and accurate charting
- Basic assessment skills and recognizing changes in condition
- Infection control and safe patient handling techniques
- Teamwork, time management, and patient-centered communication
