Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to long-term care residents
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and according to policy
- Assess, monitor, and document patients' clinical status and changes
- Collaborate with nurses, aides, therapists, and physicians to implement care plans
- Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with residents and family members
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in Pennsylvania (must be active and in good standing)
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Education
- Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with long-term care clinical documentation and care plans
- Ability to perform focused nursing assessments and report changes
- Good time management and prioritization under typical nursing demands
- Teamwork and collaboration with interdisciplinary staff
- Compassionate bedside manner and the ability to support residents emotionally
