Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to assigned patients using best practices
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document per facility policy
• Assess and monitor patient condition, report changes promptly to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record
• Educate patients and families about treatments, medications, and care plans
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards at all times
• Support unit workflow by communicating clearly and stepping in where needed

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing (Georgia) — required
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
• BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Comfortable working 12.5-hour clinical shifts and adapting to patient acuity
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Previous long-term care or acute care experience preferred but not required

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program
• Current Georgia LPN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Proficient in patient assessment and monitoring of vital signs
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Knowledge of infection prevention and standard safety protocols
• Excellent time management and prioritization under a busy workload
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective patient/family education skills
