Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Support residents with mobility, toileting, bathing, and grooming needs
Monitor resident well-being during night hours and report any changes
Document care activities, observations, and resident responses accurately
Collaborate with nursing staff to follow care plans and ensure safety
Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents

Qualifications

Current GNA certification or equivalent credential as required by state regulations
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Basic CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfort working independently on night shifts and as part of a team
Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic patient care principles and infection control
Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility
Familiarity with charting and basic documentation practices
Observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
Dependability, punctuality, and a patient-centered attitude
