Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities—bathing, dressing, grooming—with dignity and respect
• Support mobility and safe transfers to reduce fall risk and boost independence
• Monitor and record vitals and resident conditions accurately and promptly
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to residents
• Communicate changes in resident status to the nursing team and document observations
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, respectful approach with older adults

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety procedures
• Comfortable with resident documentation and clear communication with care teams
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced long-term care environment
• Team-oriented mindset and strong observational skills
