Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams (all body parts) with sound clinical judgment and radiation protection principles
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment, set up and run automatic injectors, and adjust contrast protocols by age group
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of procedures
• Participate in departmental quality assurance and daily/weekly QC tasks to uphold high standards
• Assist with interventional procedures, prepare procedure areas, and consult with referring physicians
• Perform venipuncture and help manage contrast administration safely and competently
• Support tele-radiology transmission and sterile technique where required
• Manage supply inventory and assist with ordering to keep the department running smoothly
• Rotate shifts, take call as scheduled, and step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of a supervisor
• Pursue continuing education and maintain competency in ancillary modalities as assigned

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency demonstration required within 3 months of hire and every three years
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality
• Willingness to rotate shifts and participate in on-call coverage (report within 20 minutes)
• Preferred: additional ARRT modality certifications (CT, MR, MG, NM) or ARDMS
• Comfort working with patients across the lifespan, from newborns to geriatric adults

Education

• ARRT (Radiography) certification required
• Clinical competency within 3 months of hire; ongoing competency every three years

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of radiation protection and safety
• Patient-centered care across the lifespan and ability to adjust protocols for pediatric and geriatric patients
• Competence with CT and X-ray equipment and automatic injectors
• Skilled in venipuncture, contrast administration, and related contraindications
• Familiarity with tele-radiology transmission and sterile technique
• Quality assurance practices and daily/weekly QC processes
• Good communication, teamwork, and ability to perform under stress
