Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Support safe patient mobility and transfers while using proper body mechanics
• Monitor and report patient conditions — vitals, changes, and concerns — to the nursing team
• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and feeding with dignity
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly during handoffs
• Contribute to a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate respectfully with nurses, therapists, and other team members to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification in the state of California
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
• Comfort with overnight shifts and working independently during per-diem assignments
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active state CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental patient care skills and knowledge of ADLs
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Infection prevention and proper PPE use
• Time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient advocacy
• Basic familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
