Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist nursing staff with routine patient monitoring and reporting changes
- Perform safe transfers, bathing, feeding and toileting with dignity and respect
- Accurately document observations and care delivered in the patient record
- Communicate clearly with teammates and family members to support coordinated care
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control practices
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification (required) — Pennsylvania preferred or ability to obtain
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtainable upon hire)
- Comfortable working an 8-hour direct care shift and lifting/assisting patients as needed
- Compassionate, reliable, and able to work well within a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care fundamentals and familiarity with ADLs (activities of daily living)
- Basic vital sign measurement and observational skills
- Good documentation and communication skills
- Awareness of infection control and safety procedures
- Team-oriented mindset and adaptability in a busy care setting
