Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients and residents
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
- Support safe transfer and positioning of patients following facility protocols
- Communicate clearly with nurses, therapists, patients, and families to ensure coordinated care
- Observe and report changes in condition, promoting patient safety and comfort
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Active authorization to work in Pennsylvania as required by facility
- Successful completion of background check and required health screenings
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and assisting with mobility
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; required: CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and patient hygiene
- Skilled in taking and documenting vital signs
- Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
- Solid documentation and charting skills
- Team player with good communication and time management
- Ability to follow care plans and report changes promptly
