Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Measure and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Maintain a clean and safe environment to support patient recovery
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and colleagues to coordinate care
- Support a culture of teamwork by stepping in to help where needed
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification or license, valid for practice in Pennsylvania
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- CPR or BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable with basic patient care tasks and able to follow care plans
- Friendly, reliable, and able to work independently when needed
- Background check and any required facility screenings completed prior to start
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient-centered care and strong interpersonal skills
- Basic clinical skills such as vital signs, toileting assistance, and safe transfers
- Infection control best practices and attention to cleanliness
- Good observation skills and clear documentation habits
- Ability to follow direction from nursing staff and escalate concerns promptly
- Time management and task prioritization in a busy care setting
