Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Assist residents with mobility and safe transfers to promote independence
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Support mealtime assistance and dietary needs as directed
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team to ensure coordinated care
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — Pennsylvania certification preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts and adapt to unit scheduling needs
• Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening as required
• Up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• CPR/BLS certification a plus (if available, please list on your application)

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program (or equivalent)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Skill measuring and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Good observational skills and ability to report clinical changes
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to assist with mobility and safe transfer techniques
