Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report concerns to nursing staff
- Support mobility, transfer, and positioning safely using proper body mechanics
- Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for residents
- Document patient interactions and care activities timely and clearly
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Dependable attendance and ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in ADLs: bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting and mobility assistance
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
- Infection control and basic safety precautions
- Patient transfer and safe lifting practices
- Good charting skills and familiarity with electronic or paper documentation
- Teamwork, time management, and clear verbal communication
