Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity
- Measure and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Support safe patient mobility and transfer techniques
- Accurately document patient care and observations in charts or electronic records
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful patient environment at all times
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in good standing
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
- Comfortable working directly with patients and performing hands-on care
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and infection control
- Skillful in taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Comfort with patient lifting and safe transfer techniques
- Able to follow care plans and communicate observations effectively
- Customer-service oriented approach to patient and family interactions
