Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and make their day better
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and feeding
- Measure and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
- Support safe mobility and transfer techniques to protect residents and yourself
- Maintain clean, safe resident environments and follow infection control practices
- Document care activities clearly and timely in resident records
- Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists and families to coordinate great care
- Participate in trainings and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB test as required by facility
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Reliable, professional demeanor with a caring attitude and strong teamwork skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable performing basic nursing procedures and personal care
- Proficient at taking and recording vital signs
- Safe resident transfer and lifting techniques
- Basic charting and documentation practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within an interdisciplinary team
- Commitment to infection control and resident safety
