Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support nursing staff with tasks to ensure smooth, safe patient care
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families and the care team
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Document care activities in charts or electronic records as required
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (or eligible for state certification)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic patient mobility
- Clear background check and required health screenings/vaccinations
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to be part of a collaborative care team
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Successful completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient care and basic nursing procedures
- Ability to take and interpret vital signs and observe patient changes
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic documentation skills and comfort using electronic records or charts
- Understanding of infection prevention and safety practices
