Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities
- Monitor and document patient conditions accurately and promptly
- Assist nursing staff with tasks and follow care plans closely
- Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (required)
- Valid Pennsylvania state certification/license (or eligible to obtain)
- Comfortable with patient lifting, mobility assistance, and personal care tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CNA certification from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, infection control
- Charting and documentation best practices
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions from licensed nurses
- Compassionate patient interaction and strong observational skills
- Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
