Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Monitor and document patient conditions and report any changes to the nursing team
- Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility support using proper techniques
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for patients
- Collaborate with nurses and other care team members to deliver coordinated care
- Support patients with dignity and respect, promoting comfort and independence
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (required)
- Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or obtained upon hire
- Ability to follow care plans and facility policies with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Comfort with performing physical tasks such as lifting and turning patients
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient hygiene and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
- Infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical staff
- Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
