Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, supporting activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and feeding in a respectful manner
• Monitor and record resident vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
• Help maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents
• Support social and emotional needs by engaging residents in conversation and activities
• Collaborate with the care team to follow care plans and ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (state-required) — current and in good standing
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings (TB, immunizations)
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting preferred but new grads welcome
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Basic ability to use electronic charting or willingness to learn
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing respectful resident care

Education

• CNA certification or state-equivalent completion of a nursing assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic clinical observations
• Comfortable with safe resident handling and infection control practices
• Ability to take and document vital signs and comfort measures accurately
• Good interpersonal skills for communicating with residents, families and the care team
• Time management and organizational skills to support shift workflows
