Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients comprehensively and prioritize care based on clinical findings
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care that lead to measurable outcomes
• Provide clear, compassionate patient and family education to support recovery
• Deliver timely emergency and trauma care in the ED and assist medical-floor patients as needed
• Participate in stroke and trauma protocols, maintaining required competencies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate seamless care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and compliance with DNV requirements
• Maintain certifications and clinical competencies through ongoing education
• Support peers through mentorship, teamwork, and positive professional engagement

Qualifications

• Current Montana RN licensure (required)
• American Heart Association BLS (required)
• American Heart Association ACLS (required)
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (required)
• PALS (AHA) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) (required)
• Trauma Nursing Care Coordinator certification (required)
• Competence in and willingness to practice modified primary nursing (required)
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• 1 year emergency nursing or critical care experience preferred

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
