Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with safe patient transfers and proper use of assistive devices
- Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and observations
- Support infection control practices and maintain a clean patient environment
- Collaborate with nurses and the care team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
- Communicate respectfully with patients and families to support comfort and understanding
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Active/state-recognized CNA certification in Georgia (or eligible to obtain)
- Willingness and ability to work 12.5-hour shifts
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate patient-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed accredited CNA training program and current certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient hygiene, ADL assistance, and safe transfer techniques
- Accurate vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
- Infection prevention and safe handling of clinical equipment
- Clear documentation and basic charting experience
- Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Basic familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
