Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Perform vital signs, basic clinical tasks, and documentation accurately and on time
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility with proper technique and equipment
- Collaborate with nurses and support staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients and visitors
Qualifications
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Active/state CNA credential (Georgia certification preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Comfortable with 12.5-hour shift patterns and reliable attendance
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Foundational clinical skills: vital signs, patient hygiene, mobility assistance
- Basic charting and documentation practices
- Infection control, hand hygiene, and patient safety protocols
- Ability to work as part of a fast-paced care team
- Good observational skills and attention to detail
