Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients with dignity and respect
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and document patient conditions and report changes to nursing staff
- Support safe patient transfers and maintain proper infection control practices
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth, patient-centered care transitions
- Keep patient areas clean, stocked, and organized to promote comfort and safety
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Georgia or eligibility to obtain state certification
- Comfortable providing direct patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Willingness to submit to background checks and required health screenings
- Reliable, professional, and able to communicate clearly with patients and team members
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain if requested
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and infection prevention
- Skill in safe patient handling and mobility assistance
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Ability to document care accurately and follow care plans
- Comfort working as part of an interdisciplinary team
