Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance
Assist nursing staff with vital signs, ADLs, and documenting patient status accurately
Support a safe and clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care
Observe and report any changes in patient condition to registered nursing staff promptly
Contribute to a positive team culture by stepping in where needed and offering encouragement to residents

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (active or eligible in Pennsylvania)
Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program
Basic CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility
Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
Ability to perform physical tasks such as assisting with transfers and turning patients
Reliable, punctual, and committed to resident-centered care

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Patient hygiene and activities of daily living (ADL) support
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Infection control and standard precaution knowledge
Ability to collaborate with nursing staff and follow care plans
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
Empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills
