Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate basic patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Monitor patients and report any changes in condition to nursing staff
- Help with safe patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
- Support a positive patient experience through respectful, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA certification in Pennsylvania
- Recent experience as a CNA preferred but supportive training provided
- Must be able to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
- Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently on per diem shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an approved CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care and interpersonal skills with a calm bedside manner
- Ability to follow care plans, safety protocols, and infection control practices
- Good documentation skills and clear verbal communication
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, bathing, feeding, mobility assistance
- Team player mindset and willingness to learn from nursing staff
