Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility while preserving dignity
• Take and record vital signs and observe residents for changes in condition
• Document care accurately and communicate observations to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Follow infection control policies and contribute to a clean, safe care environment
• Collaborate with nurses and allied staff to deliver coordinated, resident-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (state certification required)
• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtainable upon hire
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to communicate clearly with residents and team members
• Previous experience in long-term or skilled nursing preferred but not always required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of state-approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and comfort with ADLs
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Understanding of infection control and standard precautions
• Strong communication skills with residents, families, and staff
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Teamwork mindset and willingness to pitch in where needed
