Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic care and assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in resident condition promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Document resident care accurately and timely in the chart or electronic record
• Collaborate with nurses and care team members to deliver person-centered care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families to enhance overall well-being

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required depending on facility)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a caring attitude
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Previous CNA experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safety standards
• Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately
• Comfortable with resident transfers and safe lifting techniques
• Familiarity with electronic health record charting or willingness to learn
• Good time management, observational, and interpersonal skills
