Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate basic nursing care to residents and patients
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Document care and observations clearly in the patient chart
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
- Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, and the care team to support patient needs
- Follow infection control policies and facility procedures to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Valid state credentials appropriate for Pennsylvania practice
- Ability to work per diem shifts and adapt to varying schedules
- Clear background check and any facility-required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with patient care and activities of daily living
- Basic vital sign measurement and patient observation
- Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
- Reliable documentation and basic charting skills
- Teamwork, empathy, and the ability to prioritize patient needs
