Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Days: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM; Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), shifts rotate every 3 weeks, includes every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday; 1-hour on-call response as required
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, safe care for laboring and postpartum patients in a combined LDRP setting
- Monitor fetal status using GE EFM and interpret cardiac strips to inform timely clinical decisions
- Titrate OB and ICU drips accurately and responsibly per protocol
- Float between L&D, Med-Surg and Pediatrics when census requires, maintaining high standards across units
- Collaborate with OB/Neonatology and anesthesia teams (on-call) to coordinate patient care and transfers
- Precept and work with the charge nurse and support staff to maintain smooth unit flow and patient safety
- Document care thoroughly in EPIC and communicate effectively at handoffs
Qualifications
- Active RN license (required to submit); Minnesota license or eligible to obtain
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS and NRP
- Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience; must have L&D plus Med-Surg and/or Pediatrics experience
- Comfortable titrating drips and reading cardiac/EFM strips
- Ability to float between units, work rotating 12-hour shifts, and respond to 1-hour call
- Must meet facility radius rule and RTO submission requirements prior to placement
Education
- Active RN license (Associate degree, diploma, or BSN acceptable); BSN preferred but not required
- Unit-specific orientation: one 12-hour shift
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with Labor & Delivery care, postpartum management and triage
- Fetal monitoring/EFM (GE) and cardiac strip interpretation
- EPIC charting experience
- Familiarity troubleshooting RT equipment: ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, high flow and Airvo (RT on call)
- Telemetry monitoring knowledge (Phillips monitors)
- Charge nurse experience and ability to take assignment if needed
- Strong communication, approachability and team-orientation
