Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with night and weekend call as required (12-hour days with night and weekend call)

Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile instruments, ensuring every procedure has the right setup
- Assist surgeons and the perioperative team during cases across specialties like total joints, spine, transplants, robotics, vascular, ENT and plastics
- Maintain strict sterile technique and instrument accountability for patient safety
- Document perioperative care accurately in Meditech EMR and communicate key patient information to the team
- Participate in night and weekend call rotations professionally and reliably
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary OR team to streamline turnover and improve patient throughput
- Support training and mentorship of newer staff when opportunities arise
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Must have DORA and NBSTSA credentials (listed as required)
- Minimum 2 years of OR/CST experience (site lists Experience: 2)
- Preferred: 3+ years of relevant experience and additional certifications
- Experience or comfort working with transplant or spine cases is highly desired
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR or similar documentation systems
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and participate in night/weekend call rotation
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of operating room protocols and sterile technique
- Experience with procedures: total joints, spine, kidney/liver transplants, robotics, vascular, ENT, plastics
- Proficient with Meditech EMR documentation
- Instrument identification, setup, and intraoperative troubleshooting
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and situational awareness in fast-paced OR environments
- Ability to prioritize patient safety and maintain composure during complex cases
