Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: Santa Monica, CA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Candidate Pay Rate: $40- $45.5 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, ensuring safe and effective care
Assist residents with therapeutic exercises and mobility training to improve independence
Monitor resident progress and document outcomes clearly and professionally
Communicate effectively with therapy and nursing staff to coordinate care and optimize resident outcomes
Support a positive, team-focused environment that helps residents achieve their goals

Qualifications

Active California PTA license (required)
SNF experience preferred
Strong teamwork and clear documentation skills
Ability to follow PT-directed treatment plans and provide compassionate patient care

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical knowledge of therapeutic exercises and mobility training
Patient care focus with an emphasis on safety and dignity
Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective handoffs and documentation
Comfort with accurate, timely documentation and working within a team-based care setting
Understanding of Skilled Nursing Facility workflows and resident needs
