Shift Type: Night shift, 4x12-hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), typically 4 nights/week (specific nights vary by schedule); every-other-weekend coverage required; night (NOC) with floating between like units as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct nursing care to adult LTAC/MS-Telemetry patients using evidence-based practice
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias to promptly identify and escalate changes in condition
- Manage ventilated patients and provide tracheostomy care with attention to airway safety and ventilator settings
- Perform and manage vascular access: start/maintain IVs, PICC and central line care, and phlebotomy when needed
- Deliver pre/post hemodialysis support and collaborate with dialysis teams for safe patient care
- Interpret ABGs and adjust interventions in collaboration with the care team
- Administer medications per protocol, follow heparin and insulin protocols, and manage vasoactive/cardiac drips as directed
- Provide wound care and wound VAC management for complex patients, including ostomy and PEG care
- Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary support services (Respiratory, PT, Pharmacy, Social Work) to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (NC) — pending licenses are not accepted for this role
- Minimum of 3 years of recent acute care nursing experience (travel experience required)
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and a 1:5 patient ratio comfort level
- Previous LTAC or step-down telemetry experience preferred
- Current BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Competency with Epic charting required
- Ability to float within scope to like units and to work night shifts and every-other-weekend rotations
- Certifications/skills preferred: IV therapy, phlebotomy, ventilator/tracheostomy care, arterial line and chest tube management
Education
- Active RN license (required)
- ADN or BSN — BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Ventilator management and tracheostomy care
- IV therapy, PICC and central line care, phlebotomy
- ABG interpretation and oxygen/respiratory support including HFNC
- Pre/post hemodialysis patient management
- Wound care and wound VAC management
- Familiarity with heparin, insulin and vasoactive/cardiac drip protocols
- Infection control and isolation precautions
- Epic electronic charting and accurate clinical documentation
- Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills
